Boy 'Autocrat' Collector Gets Kaiser's Card
Collecting kings, figuratively speaking, is the novel hobby of Robert
Brockway, 14, of 3477 Pahoa Ave.
Robert refers to his hobby as "autocrats." And he means autocrats;
not pidgin for autographs.
Mail from the mainland Thursday brought the most recent and to date
the most prized addition to his collection; an autographed card from former
Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany.
The card, in an envelope postmarked like a philatelist's dream,
arrived from Doorn, The Netherlands, where Germany's former emperor is
now in exile.
It contained a handsome autographed photograph of the Kaiser and
a brief message thanking Robert for sending the aging German birthday greetings
several weeks ago.
