Photos on the move are
hard to take after the sun goes down. . . . many of them are blurry and
had to be lightened considerably.
After posing in the sunset on
the dry rice fields we raced back over dusty, rutty country trails. There
were many obstacles on the darkened pathways: cattle, ruts, steep drop-offs
to ditches, washouts, flying dust and dirt, kids waving and running across
our path, narrow village lanes and streets, merging motor bikes, pedestrians,
trash and litter.
When we reached the busy city
streets our guides were a great help in helping us through intersections
and weaving through the throngs of motorcycles, cars and trucks.
We returned to the Quad Garage
where the friendly owners greeted us with bottles of water, while we waited
for our shuttle bus. We returned to our hotel well after sunset. It had
been a busy day. We had seen sunrise over Angkor Wat and sunset over the
rice fields.
