New Harbour ~ Dining

ROAD FOOD
A delicious cake topped with coconut and icing.
Vera picked this up for us at the Dutch square to eat while on the road.

The modern harbour with an amazing maze of cranes ~ not as big as Singapore,
but they still move an amazing amount of trade. Quite a contrast to the old harbour we visited earlier.
Cruise ships also dock here.

A gigantic Honda factory. This is about 1/3 of the entire factory, and they manufacture motor bikes.
Plus interesting sights along the way

Our stop for the mid-day meal ~ Lunch at an Indonesian buffet
Great food and live entertainment

Performers at our lunch hour stop did good renditions of American songs
. . .  some of our group even joined  the musicians in song.

The buffet offered a great variety of food choices.

*** Items steamed in banana leaf - shrimp, mushrooms, etc
*** SO many options!
*** Assortment of seafood and chicken.
*** Whole grilled fish
.

.

*** Whole squid in mild green chili sauce. Yummiest of the items we picked out
*** Baby octopus
*** Chicken
.

.

*** Shrimp ready for the grill
*** Assortment o dried fish, anchovies, etc
*** Whole grilled fish
.

.

Great mortor and pestle work
Assortment of spices, nuts, etc
Working the spices into a paste
. .

The drinks kitchen - non alcoholic being a Muslim establishment.
Sue-On loved the brown chimney-like pots.
These are sat on burners, they steamed rice, etc
.

On the road again
