3. Plan your preparation time and for the amounted time allowed for your presentation
4. Tailor your talk to your audience
5. Gather material: read and make comprehensive notes including all sources
6. Use an outline to organize your material in logical sequence
7. Read and rehearse your speech aloud many times in front of a mirror
