Elvis Presley and Priscilla Ann Beaulieu,
married on Monday, May 1, 1967 at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. The ceremony
took place in the suite of casino owner Milton Prell with the ceremony
performed by Nevada Supreme Court Justice David Zenoff. The wedding was
arranged by Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker.
The ceremony was intimate with only fourteen people
in attendance and it was reported to have only lasted eight minutes. Elvis'
Co-Best Men were Marty Lacker and Joe Esposito. Priscilla's Maid of Honor
was her little sister Michelle. A press conference and wedding reception
followed the ceremony.
The reception had a breakfast buffet which also included:
oysters, clams, salmon, lobster, fried chicken and roasted pig. The Presley's
cake was white and red with six-tiers. The reception was attended by 100
people including: extended Presley and Beaulieu family members, RCA and
Hill & Range businessmen, business associates and members of Elvis'
entourage.
On May 29, 1967 the Presley's had a second wedding
reception in Memphis at Graceland for family and numerous friends.
Unfortunately, the Presley's marriage did not last.
October 9, 1973 was the day Elvis and Priscilla were officially divorced.
