I am sharing what I have found from dad's stuff from
Rivers.
I am not sure of the years he served at Rivers but
he did mention that it was his favourite posting.
He joined the CAF in 1951 and was in until 1965, he
was medically released due to heart problems.
I have a lot of photos but I believe they are all
from his time in Germany.
I am very proud to see my dads face preserved in the history of CJATC Rivers.

In this course photo (I’m not sure what year it’s
from)
my father, Cpl John R. Miller, is in the front row,
3rd from the left.
He was staff at the school but again, not sure for
how long he was there.
If I come across anything else I will pass it along.

Christmas Card From Dad to Nanny
The card isn’t Rivers specific but it does have some
wings on it
and I thought you would find it interesting.
ABANDONED CJATC BASE TODAY
Photos by Glen Miller
To revive old memories, Glen Miller visited the long-closed
base
and took a series of 23 photos showing how the site
looks today.
